Lt. Col. Enoch “Woody” Woodhouse

332nd Fighter Group, 15th Air Force


Born in Roxbury, Massachusetts, on January 14, 1927,

Lt. Col. Enoch “Woody” Woodhouse enlisted

in the U.S. Army Air Corps at age 17. Commissioned

as a second lieutenant at 19, he served with the

332nd Fighter Group, the Tuskegee Airmen, as a

paymaster and finance officer. His service reflects

resilience, intellect, and distinguished leadership

during a defining era in American history.
